LWOB was pleased to have the opportunity to share a conversation with Turkish Human Rights lawyer, Demirtas Selahattin in New York last week. The two lawyers discussed potential interventions for Lawyers At Risk around the world, and ways to improve a rapid response to situations where time is of the essence. Storm and Mr. Derirtas also discussedæ theævalue of æcollaboration among Human Rights NGO's and models for continued involvement of lawyers from around the world in human rights initiatives.

This meeting was facilitated by the United States Department of State. Mr. Selahattin was in the United States as part of the State Deparment International Visitor Leadership Program.
