Return to the Press Page
As many of you know, LWOB has been in the press lately with coverage in major publications (New York Times, ABA Business Law Journal) focused on our work in Africa, links with major international law firms and pro bono capacity building projects across the globe. The daily responses and queries from lawyers around the world has been impressive--lawyers writing to volunteer for LWOB or in the field where our projects are in development.
Each query wants to know how they can become involved, what a particular lawyer can do--and right now, the answer is simply this: Make a contribution or financial donation to Lawyers Without Borders. Enable us to engage permanent staff to continue to build on the pro bono models that are, at this point, proving to be an invaluable resource in the Rule of Law arena.
What we have learned with the Volunteer Model that this organization was founded upon is, that as it grows, a reliable permanent staff, centrally located and working together is necessary to manage the projects, volunteer and organizational operations.
So please appreciate that in order for LWOB to become a central resource and clearinghouse for lawyers in search of global pro bono opportunities, long and short term, at home and abroad, it needs your financial support. As we enter our 7th year since incorporation LWOB is poised to become a leader in International Pro Bono and you can help make that happen.
