In 2004 a longtime virtual volunteer with Lawyers Without Borders found herself working with a team in Monrovia, Liberia and grappling with the prospect of running a law school with insufficient book supplies for the law students.

She contacted LWOB. Could we somehow get law books to these students? Within 30 days, LWOB created a network of donors from Universities and USA-based book vendors and has since shipped hundreds of the requested texts to the law school--in addition to computers for the students and law libraries.

In that project, 100% of the dollars donated were directed into the project and target community.
