Interns and Students
LWOB offers unpaid internships to law and undergraduate students on a tri-semester basis: Winter/Spring, Summer and Fall.
Applications are currently being accepted for Summer 2010.
Applications are generally due and will be reviewed at least 3 months before the start of the new internship term. All internships are unpaid, and our interns typically live in the region or within a one-hour commute of our offices. As a general rule, LWOB engages 7-10 interns per semester and 10 or more in summer. Otherwise qualified summer intern applicants who can volunteer for the entire summer (10 or more weeks, uninterrupted) will be preferred. Interns are required to
We discourage students who have no connection to the Hartford area from applying for internships at Hartford headquarters. Housing and transport are not ideal and the region can present challenges to those who have no social support mechanisms in the area.
We sometimes have opportunities for internship seats hosted by law firms in major metropolitan areas and do have opportunities for internships (self-funded) in such places as London, Nairobi and Monrovia. No internship application will be considered without a detailed CV/Resume and cover letter.
